The course aims to familiarize students with the applications of digital media in History and Archeology. Upon successful completion of the course, the students will have acquired the following skills:

  • Comprehension of the digital foundations of new media
  • Knowledge of technology types and related examples of digital applications
  • Contextualization of application examples with respect to their development and deployment
  • Understanding of operational needs and data requirements in the use of new technologies
  • Functional assessment of application and overview of their advantages in research/information management
  • Critical evaluation of technology and applications
  • Introduction to current digital challenges
  • Familiarity with sources and digital material.
